Its unique location between Europe and Asia made it a land of choice for the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires to settle.The region, commonly referred to as Minor Asia, may however be closer to Southeast Asia than one could think. Bucharest still lives with scarves of the past.&nbsp; The folie des grandeurs of Ceaușescu and his fascination for Paris led to a complete rebuilt of the city, resulting today in a clever combination of socialist and Western architectures, where grands ensembles stand in Hausman-inspired boulevards, rubbing shoulders with orthodox institutions. Yet, despite the indelebile imprint on the city soul, spaces of poetry can emerge. It allows an entire universe to emerge for a limited period of time. On the borderline between an art series and a photo reportage Proud is an attempt to reproduce this feeling of freedom and happiness. The presented images were taken using a unique optical effect similar to the diffraction obtained from a prism.
