TVs and radios were on loop, while the glasses to look at the eclipse sold out within a few days.
I joined a crowd of curious onlookers at the top of Cap d’Antibes, near the chapel and the lighthouse of La Garoupe.
The moment promised to be special. And if for some the sky didn’t keep its word, it still offered us to gather together under it.
